Welcome to AMK atelier, my name is Maria!
I’m a maker specialized in Technical Design, Visual Merchandising and Sustainable Solutions.
I believe quality, functionality and a good fit is key when creating garments –from design to the final product.
A M K stands for Anna Maria Krestina, names I inherited from creative women in my family. Living in the Swedish countryside, I learnt the beauty of aging and recycling of products.
My mother Anna-Krestina taught me that there is no such thing as waste - there is a new life for everything. My grandmother Anna-Stina worked with natural dyes and knew how to face life with a smile. It is this background that inspires me to create products while working with like-minded people and together taking care of Mother Earth.
I’m based in Amsterdam but work across the globe, offering online services as well as physical projects. My mission is to share, educate and continue to create beautiful and sustainable products.

Meet Eduard, a photographer and video maker I've had the pleasure of collaborating with since the beginning of AMK atelier.
Together, we craft visual stories infused with his artist's eye for details both in concepts, behind the scenes, and final products. Eduard's talent brings our projects to life, embodying the spirit of AMK atelier. With a shared appreciation for slow fashion and creation, he sees his work as art, using film cameras to capture its essence.
Together, we strive to create inspiring visual content that reflects the values of AMK atelier and honors our heritage.

EDDIE STOK
Eddie's love for garment design and construction brought him to AMK in 2024, after a 10 year career as a graphic designer and illustrator. Now he brings his sharp eye for detail and his love for all things visual to the many projects that come through the atelier.

Together, we provide product development support from technical design and grading to sample production, but he also can't resist a graphic design brainstorm when labeling and branding inevitably come up.​​
