This pillow is made with denim fabric in cotton, and hemp: all recycled fabrics from other projects made in the atelier. The filling in the pillow is made out of 100% recycled pet bottles, and it features a blind zipper in polyester (still looking for recycled blind zippers).

The pillow is hand quilted using japanese sashiko cotton thread. Sashiko is a form of decorative reinforcement stitching from Japan that started out of practical need during the Edo era (1615-1868).The quilting uses simple running stitches, slightly larger than traditional quilting stitches.

Each pillow is handmade and unique, so no pillow will have the same material or look. As this is product is made of natural fibers and colors the pillow can change color slightly intime. This is normal for this kind of product. Read more about the process to create the pillows here.
